The winner of the Sunday competition, sponsored by the Roscommon People, was Ollie Dempsey  with 40 points. David Hill was in second place with 38 points (back 9) and Paul Farrell was in third place with 38 points. The winner of the gross prize was Alan Hill with 27 points. The winner of the Open Friday competition was Brian Campbell . Tom Higgins Jnr. was in second place. The winner of the ladies’ competition was Roisín Timothy with 36 points. The winner of the ladies’ Tuesday competition, sponsored by Longford Tiles and Bathrooms, was Chloe O’Connor with 39 points. Paula Keane was in second place with 35 points (back 9) and Siobhan Cox Carlos was in third place with 35 points also. Next Tuesday one of the highlights of the ladies’ golfing year, the competition for President Joan O’Gara’s prize to the ladies, takes place.  Charlie McDonnell won the Over 55s competition on Thursday. Richard Browne was in second place and Eamon Smyth was in third place. Margaret Brennan won the ladies’ competition. Detta Cox was in second place, Mary Jo O’Riordan was in third place and Mary Melett was in fourth place. Margaret Egan got the Best 36 handicap prize. Good luck to our Pierce Purcell team who play Mountbellew Golf Club and the Seniors Over 55 team who play Athlone during the week.

The club classic, sponsored by P.J. Donnellan, takes place on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June and it is important that members support this fundraising event and invite golfing friends from other clubs to enter a team.
