Congratulations to our Junior Cup team of Alan Hill, Liam Casey, Dan O’Brien, Ian Gannon, Tom Grealy Jnr., Brian Feeley and the team captain Alan Craven, who are through to the Connacht semi-final after qualifying from the Connacht Northern Zone over the weekend. On Saturday there was a qualifying round in Enniscrone to decide on the eight teams who would play off on Sunday for the two places in the Connacht semi-final on the 9th August.  The Roscommon team got the eighth place and were considered the underdogs in the play-off on Sunday. The team rose to the occasion and had convincing wins over Westport and Ballina to gain the coveted place in the semi-finals.

Best wishes to Lady Captain Bernie Browne on her important week ahead. Day One of the Lady Captain’s prize takes place on Tuesday and Day Two takes place on Saturday and we wish all the contestants the best of luck.
