Congratulations to Peter Geraghty winner of President Cathal McConn’s Prize 2015 and hard luck to runner-up Paul Hoare.   The presentation of prizes took place in a packed clubhouse on Saturday night. Captain Ken Kearney introduced President Cathal McConn and outlined his outstanding contribution to the club and his promotion of the game of golf through his involvement in the Connacht branch of the G.U.I. He spoke of the great honour for the club when Cathal was appointed as Irish Boys Captain, a position which he is carrying out with distinction. In his presidential address Cathal complimented the wonderful work which all the representatives on the various committees are doing for the club. He said that he was particularly proud that Roscommon is one of the few clubs where the membership has grown in recent years. Cathal gave special mention to Ian Gannon and the course staff on the fantastic work which they are doing in maintaining the course in top class condition. He also praised Bryan Keogh and his staff for the wonderful service which they are providing to the members. After the formalities the music started and a great social night followed.
