The winner of Sunday’s competition, sponsored by Keenan Bookmakers, was James Comiskey with a great score of 46 points. In second place was Johnny Coyne with 42 points. Brian Feeley won the gross prize with 30 points and Francie Noone was in third place with 39 points. Brian Campbell was the winner of the Open Friday competition with 40 points. The winners of the Mixed Christmas Hamper competition, sponsored by Barr an Raille, were Peter Brady and Mary Lalor with 70.5 nett. Gerard Harlow and Geraldine Hoban were in second place with 70 nett. The winner of the ladies’ Christmas Hamper competition, sponsored by O’Brien’s Mushrooms, was Ailbhe Donnellan with 38 points. Kate Walshe was in second place with 37 points. Sinead Benedetti won the gross prize with 33 points and Mary Seymour was in third place with 36 points. Marguerite Farrell was in 4^th place, Liinda Maxwell in 5^th place and Carmel Walker was in 6^th place. Jack Halliday won the Over 55’s competition on Thursday. Declan Browne was in second place and Sergio Benedetti was in third place. Kay Ruane won the ladies’ competition. The usual Open Competition takes place on Friday and there is a Men’s and Ladies’ 18 hole stableford competition, sponsored by the Roscommon Herald, on Sunday.
