The winner of the Sunday competition, sponsored by Lynch Flooring, was Dan O’Brien with 40 points. John Carr was in second place with 38 points (back 9) and Seamus Byrne was in third place with 38 points also. Ken Kearney won the gross prize with 32 gross points and Simon Walker won the junior prize with 42 points. Fen Thompson won the ladies’ competition, sponsored by Lucy Carty’s Eden Skin & Laser Clinic, with 39 points. Margaret Brennan was in second place with 35 points (back 9) and Kay Ruane was in third place with 35 points also. Allan Hill won the open Friday competition with 36 points. The winner of the Open Over 55’s competition on Thursday was Seamus Hayden with 42 points. Kevin Glynn was in second place with 40 points. Margaret Brennan was the winner of the ladies Open 9 Hole competition with 19 points (back 3). Detta Cox was in second place with 19 points also. Chloe O’Connor won the ladies’ Tuesday competition, sponsored by Siobhan Cox Carlos, with 37 points. Sheila Fallon was in second place with 35 points and Sinead Benedetti was in third place with 34 points. The Ladies Open Gala Day, sponsored by ECMI – Gerry O’Dowd and Kathleen Kearney Kelly, takes place this Wednesday. The men’s Club Fourball has reached the semi-final stage with Peter Geraghty and Andrew Prior meeting Alan Craven and Liam Casey in one match and Paul Farrell and Kevin Henry taking on Charlie Farrell and Paul Hoare in the other. The Smithwick’s Cup competition is also at the semi-final stage with Pat Finneran taking on Christy Grogan in one match and John Cunningham meeting Sean Brennan in the other.
