The winners of the fourball competition on Sunday, sponsored by Waldron Meats, were Dan O’Brien and Peter Brady with 46 points. Enda Daly and Gerry Naughton were in second place with 45 points and Alan Craven and Liam Casey were in third place with 42 points.  The winners of the Join Our Boys Classic were Albert Looby, Liam McNeill, Ross Shannon and Dan O’Brien with 93 points. The organisers are very grateful to all who played in what was a very successful classic.  James Quigley won the Open Friday competition with 39 points. Margaret Brennan won the ladies Tuesday competition, sponsored by N.B.C.R.I. , with 36 points. Chloe O’Connor was in second place with 35 points (back 9) and Sinead Benedetti was in third place with 35 points. The Over 55s had a very enjoyable outing to Roscrea Golf Club on Tuesday and the winner on the day was Peter Brady. Charlie Brennan won the Thursday competition. Jim Kelly was in second place and Ollie Dempsey was in third place. Marguerite Farrell won the ladies’ competition and Bretta  McCarthy was in second place. Jackie Maxwell was in third place and Margaret Brennan was in fourth place. The draw for both the Smithwick’s Cup , sponsored by Keen Print, and the Club Fourball, sponsored by Seamus O’Reilly Plumbing, will take place on Sunday so members should get their names on the entry sheets immediately please.  The finals of the Ladies’ Spring League takes place on Saturday and the presentation will take place that evening. On Monday 27^th Roscommon will host the Cancer Care West ladies competition, sponsored by Oyster Pearl Golf Society.
