The GUI was very impressed with the efficient manner that the club hosted the Inaugural Irish Mid-Amateur Competition last June and the positive feedback that they received from the participants. The good news for the club is that the GUI has allocated the Irish Seniors Amateur Open Competition to Roscommon in 2015. The AGM will take place on October 19th at 8 pm with the men’s and ladies’ clubs annual meetings taking place at 6 pm. The Professional Philip Murphy is available for individual or group lessons and can be contacted on 086 8894232.  People thinking of taking up golf in the coming year would do well to start on the right foot and take lessons.
