   The Spring League came to a close with single matches played on Saturday 3rd May. Thanks to Linda Maxwell for her generous sponsorship for this competition. The match play determined the winning team. Team C were crowned winners, captained by Marie McManus and also included Joan Hannon, Kay Ruane, Pauline Leonard, Colette Glynn, Tresina Murphy, Theresa Ray and Mary O’Gara. The runners Up were captained by Ann Keogh and included Joan Moran, Mary O’Keeffe, Patricia O’Gara, Aileen O’Gara, Phil Murray-O’Brien, Jane Hunt and Sinead Healy.

   Men’s competitions: Last weekend’s competition was the annual Woolmerchants Cup kindly sponsored by Brian Keenan Bookmakers and was won by Rikki O’Gara with 72, Cat 1 Michael McHale 74, Cat 2 Jamie Granahan 79, Cat 3 Noel Connolly 93, Gross Mario Costello 71. This coming Sunday is the annual Mick Craven Cup sponsored by XLNT Signs.

  The first phase of work on the new short game practice area has been completed and the next phase will be the seeding, fertilisation and final prep work. A big thank you to the members who attended last week to sow the new hedge.
