The Ladies Winter League final took place on St. Patrick’s Day. Mary Lalor, Noreen O’Grady and Helen Earley were victorious over Jackie Maxwell, June Halliday and Marina Cribbon. Our honorary club member Jack Halliday has passed away on Sunday 20th November. Jack was originally from Yorkshire but came to Roscommon town in the early 1960’s. We had another wonderful day of golf at the Slieve Russell golf course when our ladies senior foursomes team took part in the Golf Ireland All-Ireland matchplay tournament last Saturday. First we played Royal Tara, Co. Meath in the quarter final and we had a wonderful win with the final match finishing on the 19th hole.

Well done to Simon Walker on winning the Castletroy Senior Scratch Cup last Saturday. Simon carded rounds of 67 and 69 to win by four strokes. Simon had three birdies in the last four holes to secure the victory. A brilliant performance from the young golfer.
