The results of the men’s competition on Sunday, which was sponsored by P. Burke, SherryFitzgerald, were: 1st, Patrick Farnon, 40pts; 2nd, Kevin Kenny, 40 pts; 3rd, Kieran Madden, 38 pts; Gross, Brian Feeley, 31pts.

The ladies’ team took part in the Roscommon Cup 2017 at Castlerea Golf Course last Saturday. They came second in the team event, which was won by the Castlerea team to whom congratulations are extended. Kay Ruane, from Roscommon, was fourth in the individual standings.

The weekly men’s and ladies’ seniors took place on Thursday last. Men’s results: 1st, John Cooney, 36pts; 2nd, Eamonn Smith, 34 pts. Cat 1, Jim Tunney, 31pts; Cat 2, Charlie Brennan, 33pts; Cat 3, Michael O’Connor, 31pts. Ladies’ results: 1st, Geraldine Hoban; 2nd, Jackie Maxwell; 3rd Kay Ruane; 4th, Mary Lennon.

The Men’s Winter League is now up and running. The first qualifying period runs from the 1st October to the 12th November. Entry sheet and full details is on the men’s notice board. This competition is a team event, with teams consisting of two players, and is open to all members. Juniors can also play, but only with a full member.
