The winner of the Sunday’s competition, sponsored by Roscommon People, was Niall Reynolds with 42 points. Fintan Burke was in second place with 41 points. John McHale won the gross prize with 30 gross points and Pheilim Henry was in third place with 40 points. Alan Connaughton won the junior prize with a great score of 44 points. The winner of the Open Friday competition was Martin Carr from Donegal with 37 points. Chloe O’Connor won the ladies’ Tuesday competition, sponsored by Longford Tiles & Bathrooms, with 41 points. Mary Seymour was in second place with 37 points and Anne Browne was in third place with 36 points. Seamus Thompson won the Over 55s on Thursday. Paddy Hewitt was in second place and Charlie Brennan was in third place. Geraldine Relihan won the ladies’ competition and Margaret Egan was in second place. Mary Cunningham was in third place and Detta Cox was in fourth place. Thanks to all the members who did a big clean up around the grounds of the clubhouse during the week. The men’s Open Irish Seniors competition, which has attracted a huge entry of the best amateur golfers from all over the country, will take place on the Thursday 28th and Friday 29th May. Members please note that the course will be closed on Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and until 3pm on Friday 29th May. The entry sheet for the Club Mixed Foursomes is in the men’s notice board and the draw will take place on Sunday 31st May.
