The winner of the Sunday competition was Brian Feeley with 39 points. Michael McHale was in second place with 38 points. Margaret Brennan was the winner of the ladies’ weekly 9 hole competition with 22 points. Mary O’Gara was in second place with 18 points. John Cooney was the winner of the Over 55s competition on Thursday. John Martin was in second place and Tommy Farrell was in third place. Margaret Brennan won the ladies’ competition and Gertie Spillane was in second place. Mary O’Gara was in third place and Kay Ruane was in fourth place.

The presentation of the Golfer of the Year, sponsored by Mary Raftery Jewellers, and the Curran Cup, sponsored by Cllr. Paddy Kilduff/ Kilduff Construction, took place on Sunday evening. Joan Hannon was the Lady Golfer of the Year and Michael Costello was the men’s Golfer of the Year. Carmel Walker and Marguerite Farrell were the winners of the Curran Cup. Both Lady Captain Bernie Browne and Vice-Captain Ken Kearney expressed their appreciation of both sponsors and urged members to support the sponsors at every opportunity.
