Dr Noel Farrell: It is with great sadness that we learned over the weekend of the passing of one of our most prominent members Dr Noel Farrell. A member of the club for over 50 years, Dr Farrell served in almost every position on the club executive over that time.
He was men’s captain on two separate occasions, 1983, and 2004 and he was club president in 1998. He was also course manager for many years and oversaw the development of the club into an 18 hole facility and all other developments at the club in recent times.
The club would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Noel’s wife Susan, daughters Gillian, Sinead and Darina son David, brothers Charlie and Paul, grandchildren and extended family.
May he rest in peace.
