Senior Men: The Lady Captain has generously offered to present a prize
to the senior men. It is for a nine hole competition to be played on
Thursday 9th July.
Inter-Club: The Fred Perry team drew 2-2 on the opening day of their
Connacht final against Swinford last week. The return leg is on Saturday
18 th July.
Olivia Costello: Olivia plays for Ireland in the European Championships
this week at the Slieve Russell club in Co Cavan. There are 22 countries
participating. There are two days of qualifying (Tuesday and
Wednesday) and the rest of the week is match play. A number of club
members are travelling to Cavan to see Olivia in action.
Cian O’Connor: Well done to Cian O’Connor who has been chosen on
the Connacht team for the inter-provincials which take place in
Knightsbrook this week.
Thomas Higgins: The European Men’s Amateur Championships are on in Estonia this week as well. Same format as the Ladies Championships in Cavan with two days qualifying and three days of match play. Thomas Higgins will play for Ireland and we wish him the very best of luck.
