Senior Men: Thursday competition: Winner: Padraig Dervin 40pts, Cat 1 Declan Browne 39pts, Cat 2 Michael Lennon 35pts, Cat 3 Jim Grogan 33pts, Cat 4 Larry Doyle 38 pts.Deuces: Michael Lennon, Padraig Dervin, Michael Frawley.

   Senior Women: 1st Geraldine Relihan 19pts, 2nd Joan Moran 18pts, 3rd Patricia Finneran 18pts, 4th Jackie Maxwell 17pts, 5th Mary McDermott 17pts.

   Ladies Results: Competition held on 14th 15th and 17th June which was kindly sponsored by Rogue and Co. 18h- Overall winner  Laura Griffith 39pts,  Cat 1 Carmel Walker 38pts, Cat 2 Marguerite Farrell 36pts, Cat 3 Laarni Beattie 32pts. 9h-Overall winner Thereswa Ray 20pts, Cat 1 Kay Condon 18pts, Cat 2 Anne Varley 18pts.

Men’s: The weekly competition this week will be held on Sunday and is kindly sponsored by Golfstyle Gwlay.

   Open Week: The Club annual Open Week begins next Monday with Ladies and Men’s Competitions every day. There will be information on BRS and on the club WhatsApp Info account.

   Club Classic: The club annual fund raising classic took place over Saturday and Sunday and was a resounding success with 95 teams taking part. The first two teams home were 1st (104 pts) Clay Pipe- Padraig Beirne, Conor Mulally, Joe Naughton, Padraig Walsh. 2nd (103pts) Noel Sharkey, Michael Sharkey, Jack Sharkey, Tommy Flynn. There were 12 team prizes in total. Ladies longest drive was won by Jane Feeley and nearest the pin by Noreen O’Grady. Men’s longest drive was won by Jack Sharkey and nearest the pin by Cathal Donnelly.

   The prizes were presented at a very well attended social evening in the club on Sunday night. The club would like to sincerely thank everyone who played, who sponsored and who helped out.

   Connacht Senior Cups: Roscommon GC hosts the Connacht Senior Men’s Cup qualifying, semi-finals and finals this coming weekend. Some of the best amateur golfers in the country will be taking part over Saturday and Sunday. The four top qualifiers from Saturday will play in the semi-finals on Sunday morning and Roscommon will be defending the title they won in such dramatic fashion in 2024. It is expected that the semi-finals will be on Sunday morning at 8am with the final at 2.15pm. The club wishes it’s team and captain Enda Daly the best of luck. Our senior ladies face Galway Golf club in the Senior Cup semi-final on Sunday in Roscommon at 8am. We wish the team the very best of luck.
