Well done to  our Ladies’ Junior Foursomes Team who beat Ballinasloe in Mountbellew  on Saturday and we wish them well in the next round. Congratulations to our Miele Fourball Team who defeated Tuam in the quarter-final on Sunday and are through to the semi –final. Our Fred Daly team did us proud in the semi-final of the Fred Daly Plate in Athlone Golf Club when they gave a close run to Ballinrobe. This is a great achievement when all of our youngsters will still be eligible for this U-18 boy’s competition for the next four years!  The team consisted of Thomas Higgins, Alan Connaughton, Cian O’Connor, Kevin Connaughton, Joe Finnegan and the reserve was Fionn Hoare and Michael Costello was their convenor.

Roscommon Golf Club is delighted to welcome the cream of Ireland’s young golfers for the prestigious Connacht U/18 Boys Open Championship which takes place on this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a practice day  on Monday.
