Men’s Results: Open Friday competition: 1st Michael O’Brien 40pts, 2nd Harry Gordon 39pts. The weekly men’s competition was abandoned on Sunday because of the bad weather. This weekend there is the usual open competition on Friday and a golfer of the year (stroke) competition on Sunday sponsored by UNIO.
Teams: No luck for our Barton Shield and Senior Cup teams in the All Ireland finals in Douglas last week (see story elsewhere). The Jack O’Sullivan team play Enniscrone in the Connacht semi-final this week, while the Connacht Shield team will be in action next week against Portumna.
