The men’s competition on Sunday 23rd July was the Men’s 1914 Captain’s Cup, and was sponsored by J.J. Harlow’s Bar. 1st, Gerry Finn, 66; 2nd, Brian Feeley, 67; 3rd, Seamus O’Donghaile, 68; Gross; Alan Craven, 71; Junior, Simon Walker, 66.
The weekly open competition, held each Monday, was won by Kevin Connaughton, 38 pts; 2nd, Michael Corcoran, 32pts; Gross; Alan Craven, 32 pts.
The winner of the men’s seniors’ competition was Jim Tunney on 35 pts. Cat 1, Jim Finn, 34 pts; Cat 2, Charlie Brennan, 34 pts; Cat 3, Sean Brennan, 32 pts. The ladies’ seniors’ results; 1st, Mary Mellett; 2nd, Detta Cox; 3rd, Phil Murray-O’Brien; 4th, Gertie Spillane.
