The first day of The Captain’s Prize (Tom Costello) took place on Saturday last, with over 140 golfers participating. The second day of the competition will be played on Sunday 6th August. Competitors can book online as usual, however, the top 27 have been entered on the BRS and are scheduled to play at varying times between 1.10 pm and 2.30 pm. Results of the first day of competition are on the men’s notice board.
The results of the men’s seniors, open competition: 1st, Gerry Finn, 39 pts; 2nd, Tommy Fallon, 33 pts; Gross, Michael Connaughton, 26 pts.
The ladies’ competition last week, sponsored by Hare Laura Grehan, was won by Yvonne Waldron, 37 pts; 2nd, Joan O’Gara, 36 pts.
Congratulations to Tom Higgins, Fionn Hoare, Cian O’Connor and Simon Walker, our under-14 and under-16 golfers, who represented Connacht in the Interprovincial Competition held in Blarney Golf course last week.
